WC JUNE 24.

Something of a rarity happened on Monday. I actually stayed off the Island for one night. We visited friends near Swindon and then headed north to a wondeful village not far from Banbury to intervierw two actors who have made over 700 TV appearances between them – John Woodvine and Lynn Farleigh. They had asked us to join them for supper and stay overnight. They both recorded interviews for John Hannam Meets and a great evening was enjoyed by the four of us.

Looking forward to visiting Joe Pasquale next month. He is soon joining the Spamalot cast, as King Arthur. Joe is heading back to the Island for a show at Shanklin Theatre on Wednesday August 14.

We had an enjoyable night at the Ryde Rowing Club on Thursday evening. It was a fish and chip supper and I was honoured to be the pre-meal guest speaker. It was a super evening, a good audience, great food and I met a few old friends.

Dennis Locorriere is always so entertaining and his Saturday night one man show at Shanklin Theatre was another resounding success. There is so much more to Dennis than the old songs of Dr Hook (he was their lead singer)as this show proved. He sang one or two gems from Post Cool, his latest solo album, and his show-stopper Shine Son. Dennis received a much deserved ovation or two at the end of the show.
