We travelled back on Monday from Sean’s wedding – and they spent four days on the Island as a part of their honeymoon. They were so impressed with the Priory Bay Hotel, Seaview. We had a Wedding Blessing at the Godshill Methodist Chapel on Wednesday afternoon. A few old friends came to this and it was another joyous occasion. Sadly, Bertie was not well enough to attend the event.The happiest man there was the bride’s father, Ian, a lifelong Luton supporter. I managed to get the ex-Luton star Keith Allen, an Islander, to surprise him at the post-blessing tea and cake session. It worked a treat.
