WC FEBRUARY 24

Had a great afternoon on Monday when I went to Newchurch to talk to the Island Interest Group – and what a super group of people. I was quite flattered to have brought out the biggest audience they had ever had for one of their weekly speakers. Lots of fun and the chance to see old friends and make a few new ones.

Can’t believe it!!! I have recently been asked to go to Bouremouth to talk to quite a large group of people in June.

Just been turned down for an interview with West End star FRANCES RUFFELLE. I guess she was never even asked, as the request went to the PR company promoting her new London show. I never get too upset with a refusal. It’s when I never even get a reply that I feel really disapopointed. I have several more biggies in the offing – but I am not too confident. I could do so many over the phone but I only undertake in-person interviews. I have been so lucky over the years and am soon to enter my 25th non-stop year of JH Meets.

When you go to a really good show it is fascinating to read reviews. When I saw a recent review of The Hollow, which was at Shanklin Theatre, I really felt so sad for the extremely talented cast. They were quite superb but no real references were made to their many talents and their outstanding performances in this production. It was simply a write-up of the plot.
