We were having a pub lunch recently at the Woodman’s Arms, Wootton, and met up with an old friend, Brian Knight, a true Islander, who worked as a driver for BRS for around 40 years. I managed to tempt him on to JH Meets – although his lovely wife, Eileen, was not quite so keen. On Tuesday afternoon I went to their Newport home to record an interview with him – and it turned out even better than I imagined. Lots of great stories and memories. It’s being aired on Sunday March 30.
One of my favourite people and actors, Celia Imrie, has been in touch and will soon be making another appearance on JH Meets. It will tie in with the new eagerly anticipated movie Love Punch, whioh stars Emma Thompson, Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Spall, Celia Imrie and Tuppence Middleton. What a star cast!!
