I was supposed to be on some sort of holiday but it never really worked out that way. Life is so busy – and the IW Amateur Theatre Awards are just around the corner.
I nipped over to Chichester on Thursday to interview the two stars of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair De Lune, Dervla Kirwan and Neil Stuke – and both turned out very successful. Both such nice people and they appreciated my research, which is always rather rewarding.
I went to Shanklin Theatre on Friday night to see Thoroughly Modern Millie. The Ventnor Theatre Group have lost so many young members due to them going away to colleges and uni. It was nice to see some promising newcomers in the show. Sadly, there is only one really memorable song in this American musical.
