WC MARCH 22.

Monday was another emotional night at Shanklin Theatre. It was the First Act Theatre Group and their production of Masking It. These clients with learning difficulties continue to amaze and this was yet another challenge they rose to. A marvellous evening and, as always, one of the highlights of my theatrical year. Seeing them obtain so much pleasure from performing on stage is a joy to behold.

I spent Thursday evening at the Ventnor Exchange watching the Bonchurch Theatre Group perform two one act plays. This is an excellent venue for intimate performances and I enjoyed the evening very much. I liked one play a lot more than the other and was blown away by one particular performance. It was an exciting day all round. I had heard earlier that four top professional actors, from numerous hit TV shows, had agreed to be interviewed.

On Saturday night I headed for the Trinity Theatre, Cowes, to see two one-act plays. It was a sparse crowd of around forty. Ironically, two nights earlier I had seen a one act play at Ventnor, set in a prison, and so was the first play by the Cowes AODS. It was an enjoyable evening with several good performances but the second one went on a bit.
