WC OCTOBER 10

I had a very successful book launch on Tuesday night at Shanklin Theatre. This was for family, close friends and people who had helped with the book. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. The response for the book has been quite amazing.

On Wednesday I went to Radio Solent to be interviewed by Shireen Jordan for the Louisa Hannan Show. It was broadcast at teatime the same day. This can already be heard on the BBC iPlayer. I really enjoyed the experience and it was the first time I had been on Radio Solent since 1980. Shireen did a really good job. Later in the day I was also interviewed for a feature in the Southampton Echo.

I had a great Friday. I was lucky enough to be one of those who talked personally to Prince Edward on his Royal Visit to Isle of Wight Radio. I was just thrilled to be one of those chosen. I had interviewed him before and we talked about this which produced some fun. A pleasure to once again meet such a likeable and very switched-on young man. He certainly knew his media and the changes that have occurred. We were all so impressed.

Had a great time later at Wootton Methodist Church where I gave a talk about my new book. Such a great bunch of people who enjoy some fun.

Met some new and old friends at my County Press Shop book signing on Saturday morning. It was well worth doing and grateful thanks to the shop staff for their help.
