WC NOVEMBER 13

I had a hilarious Monday morning at the home of Island entertainer Crisco. It was to prepare for his comeback show at the Quay Arts on Wednesday November 22. He was in fine form and it promises to be a memorable night. He was a little upset that it has been advertised on Facebook with a ticket price of £12. In fact, tickets are only £5.

I had hoped for an interview with Aled Jones, who I’d met on several occasions. Sadly, this time out it was not possible. Interviews on show days are not always easy to set up.

I did go and see Newport play Blackfield and Langley, one of the best teams in the Wessex League, on Tuesday night. It was a 0-0 draw and Newport did particularly well, after having a guy sent off after 20 minutes. Blackfield were such a disappointment.

I have decided to slightly increase the total of chapters in my 2018 book, which is the third in my trilogy of interview stories. I have now written over 80. This is about Island people – and I have so many more than I can fit into the book. There is likely to be a 2019 book, if I’m up for it. This will not be about interviews but will be very local.
