December 4 blog

On Tuesday I popped over to the Nuffield Theatre, Southampton, to interview Phoebe Thomas who is starring as Hetty Feather in their brilliant Christmas production, which runs until January 7. She is such a talented performer and was a delight to interview. Many remember her for playing Maria Kendall in Holby City. Her other TV appearances have included Doctors, The Coroner, Vera and Death in Paradise. Listen out for her soon on John Hannam Meets.

Delighted to say the Brading Roman Villa are now stocking my books. They have a selection of local books and a very comfortable tea room, which is open all year.

Had a lovely time on Thursday at the Applegate Breast Support Group Christmas meeting, at the Riverside Centre. It was such a busy meeting and I was invited to sell a few of my new books, with a donation from each going to their funds – and it was very successful. Met a few old friends and made a few new ones.

Saturday was rather hectic. I left home at 8-30 am and got back just before midnight. I managed to see two pantomimes for The Stage. I saw the 11am performance of Snow White, at the Kings, Southsea, and then later in the afternoon went to the Ferneham Hall, Fareham to see Aladdin. As ever, I was well looked after at both theatres.

Had a good Sunday lunch at Newport Golf Club, with six more equally mature guys, all of us being over 50!! Due to illness, the golf club staff were down to just one person. He did an amazing job.

John Hannam Meets is going through an exciting time at present. There is now a link to my latest interviews from the Isle of Wight Radio website and this website. All my new ones are now also available on YouTube. Just put in John Hannam and see what comes up.
