WC OCTOBER 22

What an amazing week. On Tuesday I met Sean in London and we went to see Duane Eddy at the world’s most famous theatre, the Palladium. We were invited to the soundcheck and it was almost like a private show. We met Bruce Welch, Bob Harris and Duane and his lovely wife Dee. The evening show was simply brilliant and ran for nearly three hours. Emelda May was also in the show and sang a few great songs. I am pictured with Duane at our previous meeting.

We managed to get a late train to Chesham and I was up at 5-15am to get ready for the early Wednesday morning trip to Waterloo. With South Western Railway taking industrial action and a signal problem in Surrey getting back to Southampton was not going to be easy. Luckily, the 8am train was 50 minutes late so I could get back to Southampton. I had hoped to get back to the Island and then go back to see a matinee of Don Carlos at the Nuffield City Centre Theatre, Southampton, followed by an interview with one of my favourite actors, Tom Burke. Bertie brought my gear over and I was able to see the show and do the interview. It was a long day and I got home at 10pm.

Sold a few of my new books on Thursday. If you have any problems in getting one please contact me direct. I will be selling them at the Memorial Hall, Freshwater, at the Elderberries concert on Saturday November 3. On my news pages there is a list of current stockists. I hope to be signing in a few shops before Christmas.
