John is looking forward to the special tribute night to Pete Hogman at Strings, Newport, on Saturday night, November 10. There are some brilliant musicians playing to celebrate the life of the great Pete Hogman, who was so popular on the Island’s music scene for many years. Tickets are just £5 and the takings will be sent to three local charities. John will be present and will be delighted to sell copies of his latest book, The Wight Connections, and donate money from each one to the charities. In the book there are chapters on Mark King, Snowy White, Les Payne, Kite, the Cherokees, Dick Taylor, Johnny Vincent, Toni Malo, Phill Jupitus, Paul Armfield, Brian Munro and Ian Attrill, plus a 100 more Islanders.
