WC SEPTEMBER 9

By my standards it was a quiet week. For several days I was planning my forthcoming interview with Dame Judi Dench. It took a while to prepare. I was also putting the finishing touches for the plans for the launch of my new book, which is out on Friday October 4.

I was also working on a Hannam Archive podcast that featured the late Frankie Howerd. This in now online with a link from this website.

I also  wrote a piece on Jim Davidson for the October Beacon.

On Saturday on the spur of the moment I went to Newport’s Apollo Theatre to see my good friend and professional actor Graham Pountney, who I have interviewed several times, who had answered an SOS from the theatre to fill  in for an an actor who had pulled out late in the rehearsals. Sadly the house full sign was outside, so I headed for home. I was really quite thrilled that the Apollo was full.
