WC OCTOBER 14.

Continuing my promotional push for my new book. Have arranged one or two new stockists and the initial feedback is very exciting.

Had a very welcome email to say that I am scheduled in for an interview I have been trying to arrange for several years. All will be revealed soon. It has been a long wait.

I was saddened by the news of the death of top actor Stephen Moore (pictured). I enjoyed meeting him backstage at the Mayflower, Southampton, in 2012. There is now a celebration of his life podcast now available from this website.

I get very frustrated when I  try for interviews and do not even get a reply. One of my favourite actors is Amanda Abbington and I have enjoyed everything I have ever seen her in. In past years I have been lucky to catch up with so many of my own personal favourites. A couple of weeks ago I wrote to her for the fourth time and, as ever, have not had a reply. I realise she might not want to do one but I think it would be courtesy to reply and just say so.

I have been asked to host an opening night of a photographic exhibition at Dimbola, Freshwater Bay on Friday October 25. More details will be available soon. Two of the five have been featured in my last two books.

Attended a EM Hospice charity night at Newport’s Riverside Centre on Saturday night. It featured The Rockets, an ageless Island rock ‘n’ roll band, who are fronted by Dave Khan. They have great talent and energy. £1000 was raised. I was delighted to sell copies of my new book and to donate some money from each one sold to the charity. Saw some great jivers too.
