It was always going to be a disappointing early part of the week with my last two shows ever for the County Press-sponsored Island Amateur Theatre Awards. The Island’s weekly newspaper had sponsored this very successful event for 13 years and so many of us have been so grateful for this. Personally, it been so enjoyable for me, visiting theatres, village halls, church halls and outside locations to watch some very talented local amateur performers. In reality, in changing times for the media industry, the CP have taken the move to not sponsor this event any more. If another sponsor could be found, in very quick time, it might be saved. I have had some memorable nights in viewing well over 600 local shows.
Had a great time in London on Thursday interviewing one of the hottest stars in the world – John Barrowman. The broadcast date will be revealed soon.
