Went down to the Brighton home of Island-born Edana Minghella on Monday to interview her for this Sunday’s show. It is to launch her debut album, Still On My Feet, which is rather delightful and I will be playing three tracks from it. She is singing at the Quay Arts centre, Newport, on Friday November 11.
With the last ever County Press sponsored Island Amateur Theatre Awards next week, I had settled for a quiet preceeding week as it takes several days to prepare. I did manage to see the Pepperpot Player production of Death and the Maiden, at the Whitwell Village Hall. The smaller audience than usual, which was a surprise, quite rightly, gave the show a great reception. There were several outstanding performances.
