WC DECEMBER 26.

I enjoyed a great family Christmas with no pantomimes, gigs or interviews. Just a super time but, all of a sudden, interviews are coming in and I look forward to the challenge of 2012. I have been chasing one of my favourite lady actors for an interview – and this might just happen sooner than expected. One of the most famous current soap stars in Britain could soon make a guest appearance on the show and – so could – a young Islander making a name for herself as Peter Pan in one of Britain’s top pantos. Talking of pantos – mine start again this week for the IW Amateur Theatre Awards. Oh Yes they do!!!

It was back to work on Friday with a backstage interview with Les Dennis, currently one of the stars in Peter Pan at the Mayflower, Southampton. Les and I go back 24 years and it is always nice to catch up with him. He is also heading back to the Mayflower in the summer of 2012 to star in Legally Blonde, a smash hit musical.

Finished off 2011 in great style with a New Year’s Eve ferry, train and coach trip from Winchester Station to Oxford to interview one of the world’d most beautiful women – Samantha Womack, who was once Samantha Janus. Considering the trains were not running from Wichester to Oxford, it worked out really well – and Smanatha was in great form. She opens on January 17 in South Pacific, at the Mayflower, Southampton.
