What a Tuesday afternoon I had! Roger Moore was on-stage at the Mayflower, Southampton, but I was backstage setting up a reunion between Michele Dotrice, who played Betty in Some Mothers, and the show’s writer Raymond Allen. They had not met since the last Some Mothers was recorded back in 1978. It was an idea I had that really worked and their 34 year wait was finally over. It was also a great thrill to record the event and to sit back and let them chat to one another. It can be heard on John hannam Meets on Sunday October 21.
