WC October 5.

It’s been a very busy week. On Tuesday night two people I have wanted to interview for many years came to my home to be interviewed. They have done so much for the Island amateur stage in recent years and deserve the chance to talk about their achievements and hopes. Their identity has to remain a secret until after the IW Amateur Theatre Awards night on Tuesday November 3 at Shanklin Theatre. They were in fine form.

On Wednesday afternoon I caught up with a old schoolboy friend, BOB WILSON, who rose from being an apprentice to the chief executive at Britten Norman. There is another topical connection and all will be revealed soon.

On Thursday it was off to Brighton to interview famous crime writer MARK BILLINGHAM. He’s written numerous best sellers and currently is touring with one of his favourite country music acts – the brilliant MY DARLING CLEMENTINE. They have a joint album on release called The Other Half, which features Mark reading a short story integrated with some of My Darling Clementine’s songs. They are all appearing on John Hannam Meets on Sunday October 18.

On Friday I interviewed a very successful young Island musician, ANDREW WOODFORD. Listen out for him soon on John Hannam Meets.

If all goes well in the next week I will be interviewing two of the finest TV presenters seen on our screens in recent years. They are both fantastic professionals.
