WC JULY 4

On Tuesday I went to the Hertfordshire home of my long term friend Marty Wilde, who has written the foreword of my new book. It was a sort of thinking session for the launch of the book and Marty, as ever, came up with some good ideas. He’s such good company and became my driver to and from the nearest train station. It seems Marty is very pleased with the stories in the book.

The following day I had the real pleasure of talking to the ladies luncheon group of the Brading Haven Yacht Club. Great food and super hospitality. I met old friends, made new ones and enjoyed their company immensely. They seemed to like my talk – which always helps. I managed to finish before Murray was on court at Wimbledon.

Later in the week I received the first real proof copy of my book, complete with all the stories and the near 100 photographs. I am so pleased the way it has been put together and laid out. I also love the cover, the back cover and four brilliant colour pics on the insides of the cover. I am so excited by this project. I’m delighted to say my last project has proved successful. I have just 20 CDs left of the three I released, featuring both past local characters and famous old stars.
