WC SEPTEBER 18.

Monday and Tuesday was spent writing more chapters of my 2018 book. I have now completed 37 of the 100 chapters. I want to complete at least 70 by Christmas.

ON Wednesday I was delighted to go to Chichester to interview two of the stars from their current production of The Norman Conquests. I have enjoyed watching both actors for many years, on television series and movies. Trystan Gravelle played Victor Colleano in that great Mr Selfridge series and his many other credits include Aliens and National Treasure. His movies include Anonymous, Stella Days and One Chance. I also interviewed John Hollingworth, who played Capt Henshawe in Poldark. He is about to join the cast of Doc Martin His other credits include Dark Angel, Damilola – Our Loved Boy, The Hour and Top Coppers.

Now planning promotion for my new book, The John Hannam Showbiz Interviews, which comes out in October.

On Friday afternoon I visited one of my favourite theatres, the wonderful Kings, Southsea. It was a special afternoon with the publicity launch for their pantomime, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which runs from December 5 to January 1. Most of the cast were there including the two star attractions, Anita Harris and Melinda Messenger. I had interviewed the wonderful Anita last Christmas. On Friday I was thrilled to interview Melinda Messenger. What a lovely lady! As ever, the Kings staff were so helpful. Thanks to all who made my life easy. It was great to meet up again with Darren Smith, who worked at Newport’s Medina Theatre for many years. He seems very happy. Listen out soon for Melinda Messenger. on a worldwide podcast.
