WC SEPTEMBER 11.

On Monday night I had a great time at the Lake Ladies group at Porter Court. They were such a friendly crowd and we all had fun – and they liked my talk. Also sold a few books. Nice to meet a few old friends, to.

On Wednesday lunchtime I had a wonderful time at the Holmwood Hotel, Cowes. Three lovely ladies and yours truly – who could wish for anything more. They were all good friends of my late wife, Heather, who died in 2006. Particular thanks to Eileen for her invitation and to Diane and Maureen for making it such a memorable occasion.

Had a great night at Shanklin Theatre on Thursday watching their superb show, The Best of the West End and Beyond. This Spotlight show was another gem. It runs until the end of September. It’s so well worth a visit and the ten locally based professionals were in superb form. It was a capacity house which created such a wonderful atmosphere. They work so hard and it’s so fast and slick. There are some delightful group and solo routines from the talented cast, all of whom make an impact. There is a slight change of format this year and this adds even more to this fantastic production. Highly recommended.
