WC SEPTEMBER 3

Monday certainly woke me up. I interviewed David Icke at his Ryde home on the Isle of Wight. David is on the eve of another European tour and has a new book just published, called Everything You Need To Know – But Have Never Been Told. I enjoy David’s company and we first met in 1985. As ever, I didn’t need to say very much. Listen out soon for the podcast and I have written a piece on him in the October issue of The Beacon.

Spent part of the week preparing details for the early October launch of my new book – The John Hannam Interviews – The Wight Connections. This is the biggest book I have ever written with 120 people featured in it. All have strong Island connections. The first public signings will be at the County Press front office on Friday October 5, at 10am, and the following morning, again at 10am, at Glyn Morgan’s, Shanklin.

Popped over to Eastleigh on Saturday to see the National League games between Eastleigh and AFC Fylde. It took me over an hour to find the ground, after walking from the Southampton Parkway station. In the end I met a guy in an Eastleigh shirt and he took me straight there. On the way back it was easy and it took me 20 minutes to make the station. It was an enjoyable game but no goals.
