WC SEPT 19

Thrilled to hear that Julian Fellowes, a recent guest on JH Meets, has won an Emmy in the USA for writing Downton Abbey. Saw the show on Sunday night and loved it.

Interviews are coming in thick and fast and they are for a variety of fascinating guests. I can hardly wait to meet one or two of them. Hope to have some definate news by the end of the week.

I’ve been delighted to hear from a few listeners that they love being able to listen the JH Meets again on a Sunday night from 10pm to midnight. It’s ideal for insomniacs and night owls.

Well – it’s been quite a week – and I actually stayed off the Island for two nights!!! My girl friend – Bertie – finally twisted my arm to have a short break. I managed, not surprisingly, to combine both work and pleasure. We went to Norfolk, as I was recording an at home interview with popular actor Liza Goddard, who’s been a star since the days of Skippy. She was such a perfect host and with at least four dogs running around it was such fun. This can be heard quite soon.

We got back late on Thursday night and the next morning it was up early and a train trip to London. I interviewed the delightful Nigel Kennedy – and it was such a hoot. We hit it off from the very first minute. I walked away from the West End highly delighted with the outcome of our chat. Even I can hardly wait to hear it on air. It was indeed a special day – as more interviews were arranged for the coming weeks.
