A few weeks ago I was getting low on my pre-recorded interviews, recorded all over the South. This is always a worry as there are not too many CDs, books or new shows in summer time (for want of a more appropriate word). All of a sudden 13 came in just 10 days and all my time was taken up by research and it was bed at 1-30am and rise again at 6-45am. It was all worth it – and I’m now awaiting the next ‘phone call or e-mail with more guests confirmed.

Nipped over to Chichester on Thursday to interview two actors who are among the most famous in Britain, via hundreds of television appearances – Ronald Pickup and George Layton.

What an amazing end to a fantastic week. I was honoured to be called in late to kind of host the Minghella Film Festival Night at Newport’s Medina Theatre. What a movie – The Scapegoat – made by Island Pictures and produced by two talented Islanders – Dominic Minghella and Sarah Beardsall. This was it’s premiere but it will be seen on ITV 1, probably in September. One of its stars – Sheridan Smith – attended the screening and was on our Q and A panel. It was great to chat to her and Sarah, Dominic and Reg Poerscout-Edgerton. See my news page for more information on Sheridan. I was so thrilled to be in her company the following Saturday morning when we recorded an interview at the Royal Hotel, Ventnor. We also had some great fun over the two hours and what a totally unaffected star – so refreshing.
